This week was hard… but I’m harder

Hello Reader,

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

News of the Week

Wednesday this week was hard AF.

Not “busy” hard. Heavy fuckn hard!

But the day started well like most of my mornings…

Morning prayer.
Meditation.
A productive coaching call.

Then real life kicked in.

School drop-offs.
Straight into a stressful task at work that demanded 3 straight hours of focus and precision.

One mistake could’ve caused major issues.

As soon as that finished…

Another crew needed help urgently before their concrete arrived.

Pressure. Rush. Stress.

Then came the parenting calls.

Both boys had discipline issues at school that needed immediate attention.

Teachable moments.

Hard conversations.

Leadership moments as parents.

Then soccer training had to be cancelled because there simply wasn’t enough time left in the day.

That hurt a bit.

Because the little ones absolutely love those sessions.

By the time dinner, lunches, laundry, and trash were done…

I felt drained. Mentally and Physically.

And honestly?

The old version of me would’ve poured some wine and checked out for the night.

But instead…

I put on my training gear and smashed a 20-minute HIIT session.

Not because I felt motivated.

Because I needed to reset.

And afterward?

Clearer head.
Less stress.
Better energy.
Better husband.
Better father.

That’s why I believe fitness is the foundation.

Not because life gets easier…

But because you become stronger at carrying it.

Most busy parents don’t need another extreme plan.

They need healthy ways to regulate stress before stress starts regulating them.

Movement has become one of mine.

Wednesday was hard.

But I’m harder 💪

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Today I took the boys to the park. No running for me just yet... but that didn't matter! Because today wasn't about movement. It was about presence. No phone. No Air Pods. No distractions. Just me... and them. Watching my boys laugh. Climb. Imagine. Play. Their little world... My whole world. Standing there, I realised something. This is partly a reminder to myself... But maybe you...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week we explored the winter lights display in town. The boys loved it. The colours. The music. The atmosphere. Last year I was on the ice rink looking like a baby giraffe trying to learn how to walk for the first time 😅 This year? With my groin injury... There was absolutely no chance of me stepping onto the ice. So instead, we walked. We explored. And I spent a little time...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Three weeks ago I tore my groin. And if you've been following along, you'll know the injury didn't just take away my ability to run, train, or play soccer. It rocked my identity. The active dad. The runner. The soccer player. The guy who moves. Suddenly... I couldn't. But this week something changed... 1st gym session Hope returned... Not because I was magically healed. Not because...
