The Squat Racks Were Gone…

Hello Reader,

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Let me know what you think of this newsletter please?

News of the Week

This week I walked into the gym and the squat racks were gone.

Smith machines? Gone.

Half the floor ripped up.

Renovation.

The gym is upgrading.

And it hit me…

When was the last time you upgraded yourself?

Not started another challenge.
Not downloaded another app.
Not said “this year will be different.”

I mean actually renovated who you are.

The truth most parents don’t want to hear:

You’re either growing…
Or you’re slowly declining.

There’s no neutral.

Your body doesn’t stay the same.

It improves with daily movement and intentional eating
...Or it softens with convenience and neglect.

Your mind doesn’t stay sharp.

It expands with good input (books, conversations, reflection)
...Or it fills with noise, distraction, and reaction.

Your relationships don’t stay strong.

They deepen with presence and empathy
...Or drift with autopilot and exhaustion.

Your finances don’t stay stable.

They grow with discipline and intention.
...Or shrink with impulse and avoidance.

Growth is not automatic.

It’s intentional.

And here’s the hard part:

Real transformation doesn’t start in the gym.

It starts with internal renovation.

The uncomfortable self-audit.
The standards you finally raise.
The excuses you stop entertaining.
The vision you dare to set.

Renovation is disruptive.
It’s noisy.
It’s inconvenient.

But so is staying stuck.

The Empire Within returns on 9 March.

This isn’t about workouts.

It’s about identity.

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week I was busy AF!!! Last Monday, after a full day on site, I didn’t want to workout because I quite literally was “too busy” I got home later than normal, and instead of cracking open a beer and slouching on the couch, I got moving with my boys instead… After that session I asked myself a question: Why has “being busy" become some sort of bragging right? It should embarrass us...

How you react when they make a mess. How you handle changes in life. How you handle job loss How you take care of your body....
