Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Reader, Stepping into the MRI scanner this week was intimidating... Honestly? Scary AF. Two weeks ago I tore my groin playing soccer. Since then I've been dealing with pain, frustration, discomfort, and a whole lot of uncertainty. And this week was the first real step toward finding answers... Because here's what surprised me most... The injury wasn't the hardest part. The hardest part was what it did to my identity. For years I've seen myself as: The fit dad. The active dad. The dad who runs. The dad who plays soccer. The dad who trains. The dad who moves. Then suddenly... I couldn't. No running. No soccer. No HIIT. No gym. Just fuckn limitations. And if you've ever been injured, burnt out, gained weight, or gone through a difficult season... You know exactly what I'm talking about. It makes you question things. It shakes your confidence. It forces you to slow down. And sometimes... It forces you to look in the mirror. But here's what I know: I may be injured. But I'm not a victim. There's a difference. A victim asks: "Why is this happening to me?" A leader asks: "What do I do next?" I can't control the injury. I can't control the diagnosis. I can't control how long recovery takes. But I can control my response. Once those scan results come back... The mission is simple: Understand it. Respect it. Rehab it. Overcome it. Because the goal isn't to get back to who I was. The goal is to become stronger because of what happened. That's always been the lesson. Not just in fitness. In life. Every challenge carries a choice. You can let it break you. Or you can let it build you. I'm choosing the second option. And if I'm honest... I'm thinking about documenting the entire comeback. The setbacks. The lessons. The rehab. The wins. The reality of rebuilding. Not because I have all the answers. But because I know other parents are going through their own version of this too. If you'd like to follow the journey... Reply: LET'S GO. And I'll keep you updated. Even through the injury I COMPLETED The Push-Up Challenge to level up mental health in Australia and would love your help to reach my fundraising target. All funds raised will support much-needed mental health services and initiatives in Australia. Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Today I took the boys to the park. No running for me just yet... but that didn't matter! Because today wasn't about movement. It was about presence. No phone. No Air Pods. No distractions. Just me... and them. Watching my boys laugh. Climb. Imagine. Play. Their little world... My whole world. Standing there, I realised something. This is partly a reminder to myself... But maybe you...
Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week we explored the winter lights display in town. The boys loved it. The colours. The music. The atmosphere. Last year I was on the ice rink looking like a baby giraffe trying to learn how to walk for the first time 😅 This year? With my groin injury... There was absolutely no chance of me stepping onto the ice. So instead, we walked. We explored. And I spent a little time...
