Dear God, thank You for 38 years

Hello Reader,

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

News of the Week

This week I celebrated my 38th birthday.

My family surprised me with one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received.

A "5 senses" gift.

Five small gifts. One for each sense.

Simple. Meaningful. Perfect.

Being sidelined with an injury also gave me something I don't often create enough space for:

Reflection.

And as I reflected on the year that was, I found myself writing this...

Dear God,

38 this week.

13,883 days on this earth.

Another lap around the sun.

Thank You.

Thank You for blessing me with another year of life in this crazy world.

This year has been exciting.

Adventurous.

Fun.

Filled with moments I'll never forget.

But if I'm honest...

It was also hard.

Really fuckin hard.

There were stressful moments.

Dark moments.

Moments where I questioned things.

Moments where I felt lost.

Moments where I wanted to quit.

But as I've learned over the years...

You've never ever let me down.

Not once.

Even when it felt like the pain would never end.

It did.

Even when it felt like the breakthrough would never come.

It did.

Even when I couldn't see the path...

...You could and you guided me.

Every morning we have our lil conversation.

Before the noise.

Before the responsibilities.

Before the world wakes up.

I open my eyes and thank You for another day.

Another opportunity.

Another chance.

To be a dad again.

To be a husband again.

To be a son again.

To live through the purpose You've placed on my heart.

Every high.

Every low.

Every victory.

Every setback.

Every moment of pain.

Every moment of joy.

You've been there through all of it.

And every time I've wanted to give up...

You've given me a reason to keep going.

Sometimes through a conversation.

Sometimes through a challenge.

Sometimes through a lesson.

Sometimes through my family.

Thank You for all of it.

The blessings.

The struggles.

The growth.

The refining.

The journey.

I promise to continue honouring You with the gifts You've given me.

To serve.

To lead.

To be present.

To make this world a little better than I found it.

One busy parent at a time.

Helping them build stronger bodies.

Stronger minds.

Stronger families.

With fitness as the foundation.

Chapter 38.

Let's go.

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Last night I found myself lying in the emergency ward after injuring myself playing soccer... Waiting for X-rays. Waiting for answers. Waiting. And funny enough... The thing I found myself thinking about wasn't work. It wasn't money. It wasn't my goals. It wasn't the million things I still need to do. It was a moment with my boys earlier this week. arm farts Cassius had just learnt...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week The Push Up Challenge kicked off this week and I've already banked 442 Push Ups. Day 2's push-up target was 72. Not 70. Not 75. Seventy-two. And the reason behind it hit me harder than the push-ups themselves... 72% of men don't seek help when facing mental health challenges. Seventy-two percent. Nearly three out of every four men. If I'm being honest... I've been one of them. The guy...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week I had one of those weeks. The kind where life just consumes you. Work demands. Family commitments. Deadlines. The kind of week where every hour gets allocated before you've even had a chance to think... And if I'm honest... One of those weeks where I briefly thought: "Maybe I should just fuckin quit." Not my family. Not my health. But the bigger vision I'm building. The mission. The...
