Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. βLet me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week nearly fuckin cooked me. If you've been following along, you'll know I'm currently working on my first bridge project in 16 years as a Surveyor. And this week we hit a MASSIVE milestone. We installed the first girders that will eventually carry the new road over the railway line. Pretty fuckin cool. But behind the photos and videos of massive pieces of concrete being lifted into place... I was stressed AF. Mentally exhausted. Anxious. Nervous. Running scenarios through my head over and over. Because from my side, there was one very important objective: NO FUCK UPS.π Measurements needed to be right. Information needed to be right. Things needed to line up. And when you're working on something at this scale, with multiple crews, stakeholders and a fuck-ton of moving parts... You feel the responsibility. By the end of it, my brain was cooked. And somewhere in the middle of that pressure, I had to remind myself: Ryan... you said you wanted to do big shit. Well... This is what doing big shit looks like. We love the idea of growth. We love talking about ambitious goals. Building the career. Getting into incredible shape. Being an amazing parent. Building the business. Creating the life. But nobody puts this part on the vision board... The stress. The uncertainty. The slow progress. The mistakes. The things that don't line up. People questioning you. You questioning you. Running around like your ass is on fire while somehow feeling like nothing is moving. Occasionally wondering: "Why the fuck am I doing this?" That's part of it. And I think busy parents need to understand this. Because we do the same thing with our health. You say you want to become the fit, active parent. Then life gets busy. The scale stops moving. You miss a workout. The kids get sick. Work explodes. You're tired. Progress feels painfully slow. And suddenly you start wondering if the plan is working. So you change it. Lower the target. Start again Monday. Look for something easier. Or tell yourself: "Maybe this just isn't realistic for me right now." Sometimes that's wisdom. But sometimes? That's quitting dressed up as being realistic. Because here's the uncomfortable truth: The process doesn't always feel like progress. Sometimes the process feels like chaos. Sometimes it feels slow. Sometimes it feels like you're getting nowhere. Sometimes it feels fucking HARD. That doesn't automatically mean you're doing it wrong. It might mean you're simply in it. Standing there this week watching those first girders go into place made that incredibly real for me. For months, we've been working. Planning. Checking. Solving problems. Dealing with pressure. And for a long time... There wasn't a bridge. Just a whole lot of work. Then suddenly... There it was. The first girders were in. Something tangible. Something we could point at and say: We're building a fuckin bridge. Your fitness can feel exactly the same. So can your career. Your marriage. Your business. Your parenting. For weeks or months, you're laying foundations nobody can see. Keeping promises. Doing the boring reps. Learning. Failing. Adjusting. Showing up again. And then one day... Something finally fucking connects. So if you're in one of those seasons right now... Where everything feels heavy... Don't immediately assume something is wrong. Before you lower the target... Before you "adjust the dream"... Before you convince yourself it isn't possible... Ask yourself: Is this actually the wrong path? Or is this simply what building something worthwhile feels like? There's a difference. Big goals come with big responsibility. Growth comes with discomfort. And becoming someone capable of carrying more... Requires carrying more. That's the price. This week, the girders went in. And fuck... It felt good. Stay in it. This Spring, weβre bringing back one of our favourite Elevation Empire programs. 4 weeks. HIIT + Pilates. Two very different coaching styles. Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week was probably one of the most stressful weeks of my professional career. Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week reminded me that the greatest investment you can make isn't with your money. It's with your time. Work has been demanding lately, My construction project has ramped TF up. Nadine's workload has been crazy too. By the end of the day, we're both tired. The easy option would've been to crash on the couch, scroll our phones, and promise ourselves we'd do better tomorrow....
