Your kids are watching everything

Hello Reader,

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Let me know what you think of this newsletter please?

News of the Week

This week, I had the privilege of coaching my youngest son’s soccer team.

His first season. Under 5’s.

And honestly… These things mean everything.

I got to be there.
Present. Involved. Leading from the front.

It made me think…

How many opportunities do we get as parents to be part of our kids’ lives…

…and pass them on?

Not always because we don’t care.

But because we’re tired.
Busy.
Low on energy.

And that’s the real issue.

Because leadership doesn’t start out there…

It starts at home.

I believe in a world where parents are:

Fit.
Active.
Present.
Leading by example.

Because what we do…

Trickles down to our kids.

And then to theirs.

I can’t change the whole world.

But I can lead my home.

My family.

My community.

And so can you.

Before you blame everything and everyone else

Look in the mirror.

Because your community is built by individuals.

People like you.
People like me.

You don’t get to live below your standard…

…and blame everything else for the outcome.

So be honest:

Are you where you want to be…

Physically?
Mentally?
In your career?

If the answer is no…

Good.

Now you know where to start.

Raise your standard.

Lead yourself first.

Then lead your family.

We are the change.

Start small.

Stay consistent.

Elevate your lil empire.

The EMPIRE WITHIN, is just the tool to build and design your OWN Identity

Quote of the Week

Recipe of the Week

TACO TOMATOES

Serves 4

1 tbsp. olive oil

1 medium yellow onion,

chopped

1 lb. (450g) lean ground beef (5%)

1x 1 oz. (28g) packet taco

seasoning

4 large, ripe beefsteak

tomatoes

1.8 oz. (50g) cheddar cheese,

shredded

4 tbsp. sour cream

What you need to do

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium heat, add the

onion and cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes until soft. Add the

ground beef and taco seasoning and continue to cook for 8

minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink.

Place the tomatoes on a board, stem side down, and slice into 6

wedges, taking care not to cut the tomatoes all the way through.

Carefully spread open the wedges.

Divide the taco meat evenly between the 4 tomatoes, then top each

with cheddar cheese and sour cream before serving.

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Today I took the boys to the park. No running for me just yet... but that didn't matter! Because today wasn't about movement. It was about presence. No phone. No Air Pods. No distractions. Just me... and them. Watching my boys laugh. Climb. Imagine. Play. Their little world... My whole world. Standing there, I realised something. This is partly a reminder to myself... But maybe you...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week This week we explored the winter lights display in town. The boys loved it. The colours. The music. The atmosphere. Last year I was on the ice rink looking like a baby giraffe trying to learn how to walk for the first time 😅 This year? With my groin injury... There was absolutely no chance of me stepping onto the ice. So instead, we walked. We explored. And I spent a little time...

Hello Reader, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Let me know what you think of this newsletter please? News of the Week Three weeks ago I tore my groin. And if you've been following along, you'll know the injury didn't just take away my ability to run, train, or play soccer. It rocked my identity. The active dad. The runner. The soccer player. The guy who moves. Suddenly... I couldn't. But this week something changed... 1st gym session Hope returned... Not because I was magically healed. Not because...
